How We Assess & Support Learners Online

We believe assessment should be continuous, supportive, and child-friendly.

1. Initial Diagnostic Assessment

  • Online baseline assessment for every child
  • Identifies strengths, gaps, and learning needs
  • Places children at the right level, not just by age

2. Ongoing Topic-Based Assessments

  • Short assessments after each topic
  • Checks understanding, accuracy, and reasoning
  • Clear feedback shared with parents

3. Live Online Teaching

  • One-to-one or small group lessons
  • Interactive tools, visuals, and real-life examples
  • Continuous assessment through:
    • Targeted questioning
    • Mini tasks
    • Verbal explanations

4. Weekly & Monthly Progress Tracking

  • Progress tracked against year-group expectations
  • Additional support provided where needed:
    • Targeted intervention
    • Revision sessions
    • Extended or simplified tasks

5. Parent Communication

  • Regular progress updates
  • Clear indicators if a child is:
    • Working below expected level
    • Working at expected level
    • Working above expected level
  • Practical guidance for supporting learning at home
